It’s been a looong time since my last post and for that I apologize. Life gets crazy sometimes and I had a lot going on at once. Hopefully, I can get back in gear and make this a regular thing again!

Be aware there is a ***SPOILER ALERT*** later, but it is labeled in case you want to read the beginning of this. Now for the review…
This was a great story that follows 2 twin sisters that have been separated since their parents divorced, one twin living with each parent. After their mom dies suddenly, Iris comes to live with Ivy and their dad. The story follows the twins and the challenges of settling into life after the huge changes of losing a parent and living together again.
This story was so well-written that I couldn’t put it down! I loved the back and forth between the twins and the way everything played out. I really started getting emotional and feeing for poor Ivy because of everything she was going through. That’s why I absolutely HATED the ending.
****SPOILER ALERT****
I honestly thought Meera was there to help at the end. I just knew that she had left a tape recorder laying in the room somewhere to trick Iris and was going to come back and expose her and get Ivy back home. That would have been the perfect ending to me. As it was, I felt like the story was left too open. Like, what happens next? I get that Ivy is stuck and Iris will make her look like the murderer if she tries anything else, but that’s it? That’s all we get?? I just hate seeing the bad guys win…
The Life of a Bookworm 
Can anyone please tell me how this book ended? I am in the middle of it, hate it but can’t find the ending anywhere and am listening to it on audible so I can’t even skim it.

The ending of this book was terrible! So many open ended things like what was in the big black box in her room, you’re telling me that ivy couldn’t have recorded her sister saying all that stuff to prove she is crazy… Like so many things unanswered like what happens now and you’re not doing a sequel so like ivy just lost her whole life and that’s it there’s no justice??

I agree! I just finished the book and was like, um, ok? That’s it? I’ve been all over Google search trying to find out if there’s a sequel to this thing!

I agree! I just finished and I was reading so quickly at the end to see when someone would figure it out/Ivy would prevail. The ending was left so wide open! I guess the good guys can’t always win but I too prefer when they do.

Terrible ending—no one wants to read a book without a sequel in which the good character loses everything and a murderous sociopath wins. Ugh, what a waste of a book that was so good until the end.

I just finished this book and went through the whole Internet searching for a sequel. I know that the good doesn’t win every time but I’d have liked to know what happened next. What kind of message does this book send to its readers? That whether you are honest or a liar, everything depends upon luck? Aided by cunning planning? It’s ending was so depressing that I don’t think the shock will ever leave me in this life.

I have enough stress in my life without this terrible ending adding to it. I read to escape but this book made me never want to read again. Awful.

Exactly I agree with the above my daughter read this in 5th grade, I decided to give it a whirl. Heck noooo the ending sucked so many times she could’ve recorded with her phone what the twin sister was doing……frustrated!!
